Please note that the loft conversion has some steeper stairs leading up to it (we have a rope bannister for aid) and the bathroom opens out onto a bend in the stairs so Oswy Street might be unsuitable for young children or the elderly. We have provided a night light in the corridor so please make sure it’s switched on at night to aid you.

About the owners

Oswy Street is the much loved holiday home of Harry & Zillah. Harry is a literary agent so you will find lots of interesting books throughout the house. The book shelves in the Master bedroom and the Bunk bedroom are available for book swap if that takes your fancy. The books downstairs are for guests to enjoy during their stay but please do not remove these from the house.

We are dog lovers and so Oswy Street accepts well behaved dogs throughout the year - we have two miniature dachshunds called Rocket &. Squash who absolutely love exploring Whitby and walking off-lead on the Cinder Track and the beach!

In February 2025, we welcomed a son into our family. He is called Inigo and he absolutely loved his first trip to Whitby in May! We try to get to Whitby as much as we can but the rest of the time we like to share our cottage with as many people as possible. Please respect the house and treat it as you would your own.
